It’s not as if Daft Punk exactly need an introduction—heck, ask your grandma if she knows anything about electronic dance music and she’d likely drop their name. Since the mid-’90s, the Parisian duo of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have been involved in just about every iteration of electronic music’s dominance in the US (think Dig Your Own Hole-era “electronica” or DP’s explosive late-aughts tour and team-up with Kanye, for starters), and with the recent resurgence in full swing, you can bet their influence is still being felt.
